Lisa Cook Bayer, J.D., CCM
An attorney, Certified Case Manager and Certified Geriatric Care Manager, Lisa is proud to use both her legal and social service experience to advocate on behalf of her clients and their families.
After graduating Tufts, Lisa was a case manager with Boston Senior Home Care, a non-profit organization overseen by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
While at law school, Lisa was a founding member of the still-active Public Justice Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing grants to students who took low- paying or unpaid positions in the public sector.
Upon earning her law degree, Lisa worked with MFY Legal Services in New York City, specializing in Social Security law.
It was while at MFY that Lisa learned first hand what it means to be a caregiver.
Both her father and grandmother were diagnosed with cancer at the same time. Her father is an 18 year survivor of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Sadly, her grandmother passed of leukemia after a valiant fight.This life experience served as a catalyst for founding LMR Elder Care.
