"When my mother was diagnosed with a serious illness a couple of years back, I was suddenly faced with a lot of responsibility. Of course there was the emotional component of facing her illness. But aside from getting proper medical treatment, there were day-to-day activities that needed attention. Such as paying her monthly bills, understanding and accessing her health insurance benefits, transporting mom to her various doctors’ appointments. Add to this that my mom lived about 90 minutes away from me.
I work full time and have two children. So handling mom’s affairs became quite time consuming. I’m so glad I found Life Management Resources. Heidi and Lisa were amazing. Not only did they develop such rapport with my mother, they made my life easier. They found benefits I didn’t know my mom was entitled to, which saved us a lot of money.
When her conditioned worsened, Heidi and Lisa helped me arrange for my mother to move closer to us. They found appropriate housing, facilitated the move and recommended local medical, legal and financial professionals who all proved to be outstanding. They also handled the hiring of home health aid agencies. And firing if the aids didn’t perform to the highest standards.
Eventually it became clear that mom was not going to live much longer, Heidi and Lisa gave me great support and advice. Finding out where mom’s cemetery plot was and pre-planning a funeral were some of the smartest suggestions. That way, when the inevitable happened, there was no scrambling and making decisions under extreme stress. There was also a lot of “business” to handle after my mom passed away. Heidi and Lisa continued to be of great service in helping settle all her affairs.
Life Management Resources made an unbearable time in my life much more bearable."
